Lost in the embrace of Amanda Lynn

Authentic Texas BBQ

Posted in whistling in the dark by amandalinn on April 26, 2008

That was lunch today for me and my ex-Texan boyfriend.

It was good and all, but they were playing Light Jazz.

As if.

We went to 5 BBQ places in 4 days in Texas, and not a one was playing Light Jazz.

Yes, I’m thinking it would have been more appropriate if they were playing the new song I recently heard entitled something like, “I Want To Check You for Ticks.” There was a line about wanting to see the other half of some chick’s lower back tattoo.

Hey that’s pretty good. I don’t listen to much country (a lot of bluegrass, though) but this made me laugh and dance! Thanks.

I told one of the biopsy people that I hadn’t had this much attention in years. I’d rather be checked for ticks though.

I think the perfect BBQ joint song is “Queen of My Doublewide”. Not kidding at all. :)
