Lost in the embrace of Amanda Lynn

Preliminary Diagnosis

Posted in Breast cancer by amandalinn on April 26, 2008

The biopsy results won’t be in til next week and I’m scheduled for an MRI but the specialist I saw today thinks it’s cancer. She was really nice and touched me a lot in a very soothing manner. She said I’ll be okay when it’s all done with. Everyone said that. Everyone was really nice. I got hugs from two people.

I think it’s gonna be a bit of a pain in the ass for a while, though.

I love the last line of this . . . your typical understated manner:)

Hoping you caught this soon and it can be appropriately treated quickly now that the medical people seem to be paying attention.

And I don’t know why, other than my typically sick brain, that I keep thinking you could somehow use this against your boss.

    Thank you my dear.

I keep trying to find a way to blame this on work but it’s a stretch.

This is a bad time for me to be missing work… some annual stuff coming up… but if I try to leave it for my boss to do, he’ll screw it up. I’m trying not to give a shit about work, and it’s mostly working. Except I do need the insurance so I have to at least appear to try to keep working. Sigh.
