Chemo 4, last AC

Posted in Breast cancer by amandalinn on July 31, 2008

Had chemo 4 on Monday. Saw doc on Friday as she’s on vacation this week. I had a cold; she said “eh you look GREAT” including my blood counts. I feel pretty good. Due for a crash on Saturday, last one. Hopefully the next stage will be easier.

Have yet another fun vacation next Wednesday through Tuesday. The very next day I have many scans which will show how much this stuff has shrunk (which is a lot) as well as check my heart. Taxol and Herceptin next, it sounds like it will be easier.

Wait, you mean the light at the end of the tunnel is… sunshine?

    [*gasp*]

The end of chemotherapy (sort of) is near. Congratulations! Good luck with the scans!

And what does it say about me that the only typo I made was “sunshit”?

I sure hope the end of the hard stuff is near. It has gotten a little bit worse each time so tomorrow morning might be interesting. (That’s my scheduled “fifteen minutes of puke cause the good drugs wore off” day.)

Also I have some kind of mucousy bug that was making me wake up in coughing fits. I slept propped up on a pillow on the couch last night which worked better. Coughing fits encourage puking fits so wish me luck tomorrow…

Last night I fell asleep in my easy chair at 8:30. So tired….

I just read where a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water helps clear out phlegm & ease coughing, plus all sorts of other things. Now, how that stuff goes with chemo I’m not sure . . . might not be pretty.
…ew? and what do you do with it? gargle it? drink it? throw it over your left shoulder? I have a special rinse I’m supposed to use (doh! I should use it… ) The cough is going away though.

I hope you’re feeling better by today. The fact that the doctor says you “look great” must be a bit of solace. I hope so. I’ll hold my breath until you report on the scans . . . (inhaling large) . . .

Some better today. Yes, the doctor always cheers me up…

    Don’t turn blue!!
